v2.07 The Worst Movie Trailer Ever

Shot this in one day in Washington Heights and the Bronx. It was a lot of fun. The interiors are my old apartment and The Underground Lounge, on 109th and Broadway. Andre Bella was a great Bin Ladin, and I was happy to work with Matt Sholler, Nina Camp, and Tom Thornton, who were all friends from Times Square Playwrights.

v4.01 Remembering

Remembering was written by Heather Apostolidis. We met at NYC Screenwriters. She pitched the idea over the phone and I thought it was funny. The next night, she sent over the script. We played with it for about a week, then I got the cast together and we did it. It was the first official DroppinShorts video I’d made in over a year. I love the acting and overall look. Had some serious sound issues, though… wanted to try and fix them with the audio view in Soundbooth CS5, but it didn’t work near as well as I’d hoped… lesson.. get good sound. Eradicate the term ‘fix it in post’ from my vocabulary.

v1.01 The Nature Show (pt. 1)

This was the first video ever made for DroppinShorts. Filmed over Thanksgiving with my cousin Johnny Conard in the mountains of Gatlinburg, TN. It’s almost all improv. It was a lot of fun and it’s still one of my favorites.

v1.04 The Nature Show (pt.2)

v4.02 Acne!

This video was written by Nina Covalesky. Several years ago, she was in Daytona’s Scrapbook. She mentioned the idea for Acne! a little over a year ago. Last year, when I started making Home Shopping Scandals, we decided to do Acne! as a fake commercial in episode 3… we never made episode 3, so I got a hold of Nina this Summer and we made Acne! anyway.

v2.09 A Letter from Tyler

v1.02 Got Your Nose

This was made when we were still called DroppinK. It’s one of the first, and still one of the favorite sketch videos we’ve done. Written by CL Weatherstone, we shot the opening and closing scenes in Central Park, and the rest all around the city.
