This is still one of my all time favorite videos.

CL Weatherstone wrote this, or, he came up with the idea. We were doing a play together and I’d just started making comedy videos.

We met in Central Park and spent the day running around New York filming it.

I lost all the footage, so only have the low-res copy available. I shot it on a consumer camera, not in HD.

At the time, the site was called DroppinK because I was a school teacher in the Bronx and we were “droppin knowledge” on the kids… DroppinK.

It sounded like a drug reference and lots of people were calling it Drop Pink, so I switch to DroppinShorts.

CL is a great comedy actor and I was really glad to do this video with him. I hope we can do another one some day.

I met Pia Ambardar and Matthew McAllister via an ad on Craigslist.

The opening bit with Joseph Manuela is a throwback to the idea of DroppinK being a series of comedy shorts with an intro from standup comics or a very short comic bit. I filmed Joseph performing at the opening of a play… I don’t even remember the name. I think we made this is 2005… or so.

It’s still funny though! Enjoy!
