Another classic from DroppinShorts.com

This might be my favorite all-time comedy video from DroppinShorts.

It was a real effort to make. At the time, I’d never used After Effects and it was my first greenscreen effort as well.

I also think it was the first time I used an HD camera for a shoot. SarahGrace Sanders is awesome as the lead in this one.

We shot this at my old job at Little Kids Rock in New Jersey on a Saturday. I was inspired by a commercial I saw from a drug company that looked very similar to the beginning of this, with the idea of a pill making your life perfect. It really set me off and I’m proud of all the work everyone did filming and acting crazy for this one.

The greenscreen was really tough… I don’t even remember where I got it. It was some green fabric, which we set up in the office, then took it down and did the rest of the video in the same space.

The music is an original from Ben Camp. It’s got a great groove. It’s funny to watch it now because the aspect ratio is all off… I think I shot this widescreen and then, when exporting, didn’t understand the format, so shot it out 4:3, so it’s a little smooshed… unfortunately, it’s so old, I’ve lost the footage, so only have this version.
