This is a video I made through And Now Media for e.l.f. Cosmetics.
Used Dragonframe software and a Canon 5D.
It’s my first stop motion and I feel really good about it.
e.l.f. just released it a couple days ago (11/10/12) and it’s already got 6,000 hits and almost 200 likes on YouTube.
We shot this video in four days with one day of post-production.
The post production day was for color correct and the little cloud puffs when the nail polish changes.
The Dragonframe software is excellent. It made the job a lot easier with it’s onion peeling capability.
From what I understand, they made the films “ParaNorman” and “Frankenweenie” with this software.
There’s some other features I wasn’t aware of, like drawing on a scene to help create more perfect shapes which would have been helpful if I’d have used it.
The hand model, Diana, was great.
I had a lot of creative freedom with this one.
In the interest of full disclosure, the video was inspired by:
Which I saw about 6 month ago and it really stuck with me. The similarities are obvious.
We had a super fast turnaround on this project because of a tight budget and it was a lot of fun. I really want to do another one soon.
