I’ve wanted to submit to one of Greyscale Gorilla‘s 5 second animation competitions for a long time. My co-worker, Paul, from Sen3 Productions saw that this month’s subject was “Favorite Toys” and that was it. I’m a HUGE fan of “A Christmas Story” and thought it would be fun to to make one in honor of the “official Red Ryder” BB gun.

I did most of this in After Effects and, since it was Greyscale Gorilla, definitely wanted to use some C4d. I did some of the text in 3D and grabbed the rifle and gift off of Turbosquid.com
